Common questions
Composite or wood?
Composite costs more up front and needs almost no maintenance. Wood costs less and needs sealing every year or two here. We build both and will give you the honest tradeoff for your budget.
Do I need a permit for a deck?
In Horry County, generally yes for anything attached to the house or above a certain height. We handle it.
Can you replace just the decking on my existing frame?
Sometimes. We'll inspect the frame first; if the ledger or joists are compromised, we'll tell you rather than put new boards on a bad structure.
Can you add a screened porch or roof?
Yes. Covered and screened structures are part of what we do, and they're best planned together with the deck.
